We Believe:
1. The Bible is the sole basis of our beliefs. We accept it to be God's infallible written Word. The 66 canonical books of the Old and New Testaments were uniquely, verbally and fully inspired by the Holy Spirit and that it was written without error (inerrant) in the original manuscripts. It is the supreme and final authority in all matters on which it speaks.
2. There is but one God who eternally exists in three distinct persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God. God the Father is the Creator and Ruler of the Universe. We believe that He is limitless in power, knowledge, wisdom, love, and holiness. We also believe that He has revealed himself as the Father of the redeemed.
3. Jesus Christ is the Son of God, co-equal with the Father. We believe in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
4. The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity who is co-equal with the Father and the Son. The Holy Spirit was sent by the Father to convict and draw the lost to Jesus Christ, to indwell believers from the moment of salvation and to empower them to lead a godly and holy life.
5. Man was uniquely created in the image and likeness of God to have fellowship with Him, but became alienated from that relationship through sinful disobedience. Because of that disobedience all mankind is totally incapable of coming back into a right relationship with God by their own efforts. It is only through God’s saving work in Jesus Christ that we can be rescued, reconciled and renewed.
6. Salvation is a gift of God's free grace to man. It is not the work, in whole or in part of human efforts, goodness, religious activity or self-improvement. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can man be saved from sin’s penalty.
7. Eternal life through Jesus Christ is given to all who believe by God the Father. Eternal life begins at the moment of salvation and thus all true believers are secure in their salvation for eternity. It is the grace and keeping power of God that gives us this security and not the goodness or self-efforts of the believer.
