Our Mission
CAYA operates as a charitable services organization whose aim is to provide services to indigent and homeless individuals and families as a means of assistance in remedying their condition. These services include a food pantry, holiday meals, summer lunch program, clothing, emergency financial assistance, counseling and related charitable services.
How We Carry Out Our Mission
Jesus said that we are to love God and to love others. This is the simple and yet profound truth that guides CAYA. We desire to love God with all that we are and all that we have and to show this love by reaching out in love to others. As such we are lead by Jesus' example and teaching to feed the poor and give drink to the thirsty, cloth those who are naked, welcome the stranger and to visit the sick or the prisoner. (Matt. 25:31-46) We have been called to focus on those who are physically and/or spiritually down-trodden. While our target audience is the materially poor of our community, we also reach out to the spiritually poor of all walks of life. No matter what our station in life, all people need a Savior. That Savior is Jesus Christ!
